Meet Bryce Bower – Hearthside Manor’s New Administrator!
We’re excited to welcome Bryce Bower as the new Administrator at Hearthside Manor! Bryce joined our team in June and brings with him 19 years of experience in senior living, along with a true calling to serve and protect seniors.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised right here in University Place, Bryce is as local as they come. His journey into senior care began when he was just 18 years old, serving as a full-time caregiver for his grandfather after a heart condition required around-the-clock support. That experience—seven years of care, connection, and dedication—sparked a passion that shaped his career. Over the years, Bryce has worn many hats in senior living, from caregiver to activities and care management, and most recently, administrator for the past three years.
Bryce first learned of Hearthside Manor years ago and was drawn to its unique layout and functional, small-house approach to memory care. He appreciates how the environment is designed to be both safe and engaging, allowing residents to live meaningfully despite the challenges of memory loss. When the opportunity came to join the Caring Places family, Bryce says he felt honored to step into this role.
It’s my life’s mission to help care for and protect seniors. They’ve given so much in their lives, and they absolutely deserve safe, compassionate, and meaningful care in their older years.
Looking Ahead for Hearthside Manor
In the months ahead, Bryce hopes to continue building on Hearthside Manor’s strong foundation—rounding out a dedicated care team, enhancing the activities program and life-skills stations, and getting even more connected with the wider University Place community. Long-term, his vision is to make Hearthside Manor the recognized leader in memory care in the region.
When he’s not at work, you might find Bryce tending his garden (a love passed down from his grandmother), walking the scenic waterfront at Chambers Bay or Ruston Way, or enjoying a game of slots at Emerald Queen. He’s also an identical twin—seven minutes younger than his brother, Byrun—and a proud dog dad to Oliver, his two-year-old Chihuahua–miniature poodle mix, who he rescued as a puppy.
A Heartfelt Message
I take the trust you place in me very seriously. My door is always open—no question is too small, and you will never be a bother. I will work hard every day to ensure our residents are living the lives they deserve. And for our team, I’m committed to guiding, mentoring, and celebrating each of you as we do this important work together.
Hearthside Manor will be holding a Meet & Greet on Thursday, September 4th from 4pm-6pm. We invite families and community members to swing by and get to know our new Administrator!
