At Caring Places Management, we believe in the importance of a welcoming atmosphere for our residents-whether it’s in the compassionate care we provide or the upkeep of the environment in which they live. This year, we were excited to introduce the 2024 Caring Places Landscaping Competition, a new initiative aimed at inspiring our communities to enhance their outdoor spaces, reflecting the warmth and care we strive to bring to every aspect of our work.
With a budget of $1,000 each, twelve of our communities took on the challenge of beautifying one area of their facility. Each community documented the “before” and “after” of their hard work, and the results spoke for themselves! We then invited everyone to join us in celebrating these transformations by voting for their favorite.
The Results Are In!
We are deeply grateful for the 515 votes we received—each one a testament to the support and enthusiasm of our Caring Places family. The competition was close, and while all our communities did a wonderful job, we are pleased to announce the top three winners:
1st Place: Heritage House Buckley
With 111 votes, Heritage House Buckley earned first place by creating a serene garden that has brought new life to their outdoor space. Featuring an enchanting arrangement of rocks, bright flowers, and a charming bridge, this peaceful landscape is sure to become a favorite spot for residents and staff alike.
2nd Place: Cascade Place
Securing 76 votes, Cascade Place took second place by revitalizing their front porch and entryway. With the addition of new furniture, fresh greenery, and thoughtfully chosen art, the entryway now offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes a lasting first impression.
3rd Place: Heritage House Morton
Coming in third with 75 votes, Heritage House Morton transformed their entryway into an inviting space with beautiful plants and comfortable benches. This refreshed area is now a perfect spot for residents to enjoy fresh air and social time with one another.
Honoring All Our Communities
We want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible efforts of all twelve participating communities. Each one embraced the challenge with creativity and dedication, making their spaces brighter and more welcoming for their residents. While the votes highlight three winners, every community’s transformation is a victory in our eyes.
Looking Ahead
Each of these winning communities will receive additional funds to continue beautifying their spaces, ensuring that our residents live in environments that are not only comfortable and safe but also inspiring and beautiful.
